Personal details help us create a letter for one child. This page explains how those details are used when you draft and order a letter.
Who this shop is for
Our ordering service is intended for adults purchasing letters for children, not for children to submit their own information. Please provide only information you are authorized to share.
Information you provide
We collect the parent or purchaser's name and email, the child's mailing name and address, and the personalization information you enter, such as a first name or nickname, age, town and state, favorite companion, accomplishments, gift wishes, and an optional elf name.
We also process your story and revision requests, generated letter versions, selected wording, package choices, optional notes, and order, payment, and fulfillment references.
Please do not put exact street addresses, contact details, medical information, or other sensitive personal information into story or revision boxes. Information entered in those boxes may be sent to the writing service.
How we use information
We use your information to draft and revise letters, save your selection, process your order, print and mail your chosen letter and package, provide order support, and maintain business records.
The child's name and delivery address are used for mailing. Shipping information is shared with the postal services needed to deliver your order.
AI-assisted letter writing
Your story request, relevant child personalization answers, and any revision requests and letter versions needed for a revision are sent to an AI writing service to generate the letters.
Parent contact information, the dedicated street-address fields, and payment details are not included in our letter-generation requests. Please avoid adding these details yourself in free-text story or revision requests.
Review the generated text before choosing it. You decide which version is printed.
Payments & service providers
Stripe processes payments on its hosted checkout page. This application does not receive or store full card numbers. We receive payment status and transaction references needed to confirm and fulfill orders.
We use hosting, database, AI writing, payment, and postal service providers to operate the shop. These providers process the information needed for their respective services under their own applicable terms and privacy practices.
Necessary cookies & saved drafts
Necessary cookies let this browser access its letter draft and order confirmation. Administrative session cookies protect the owner's dashboard. Blocking cookies may prevent these features from working.
Personalization answers and saved letter drafts are stored on the server, not in browser local storage. The draft-access cookie expires after seven days, and the order-confirmation access cookie lasts up to one day.
Retention & requests
Unpurchased drafts expire after seven days and become eligible for cleanup. Order information is retained for fulfillment, support, and business recordkeeping. Expiration of a draft does not delete a placed order.
You can email help@lettersfromsanta.shop to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you provided. We may need to verify your request, and some information may need to be retained for legal or recordkeeping reasons.
Security & updates
We use access controls and other safeguards to protect order information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Please do not email payment card details.
